As a Cree woman of Waterhen Lake First Nation in northwest Saskatchewan, I’m passionate about entrepreneurship, fashion, beauty, and building confidence in other Indigenous women like myself.
Since starting my business, SheNative, on many occasions I’ve been called to help Indigenous women navigate entrepreneurship and life through program facilitation and keynote addresses, where I share how they can become successful Indigenous female entrepreneurs.
Here’s a sampling of the work I’ve done.
Saskatoon & Ottawa Indigenous WE Talk Business Boot Camps presented by BDC (Business Development Bank of Canada)
Aboriginal BEST Program with NWAC (Native Women’s Association of Canada)
Mentorship Circles and Boot Camp with NWAC
SheNative’s Fashion-preneurship Project in 3 Northern Indigenous communities.
In addition, I’ve taken a number of leadership and entrepreneurship programs including:
Rise by Design - Led by Jami Young
Praxis School of Entrepreneurship
Indigenous Women in Community Leadership Program
I’m a mom of 2 sweet baby boys – Jonas and Tucker.
It is truly up to us to change our own circumstances. I’ve changed the course of my life by deciding to take the leap and start a business that’s based on my own belief system. Now I help others do the same.
